I was eagerly looking for some indication of the release of the last wheel of time book, I am both saddened and shocked to read of Robert Jorden's death. I became hooked on the series since I bought the first book, second hand from a stall in a Sunday market (for the princely sum of 75p) that I used to frequent for years before I moved from that area. I am grateful to Mr Jorden for hours of fun, magic and blood and guts he brought to my imagination. I read someplace else that in full health he would spend 12 - 14 hours per day writing the earlier books in the series. Towards the end that had been reduced to about 1 hour per day.
