Some excellent news for fans of Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series: following the sad news of Robert Jordan’s death earlier this year, it has been announced that fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson has been selected to complete the twelfth and final book in the series, A Memory of Light. Having stumbled on the Wheel of Time books by accident I was caught up immediately. The books are without doubt the best I have ever read. I partly feel sorry for Brandon as he has an epic task finishing this momentous series, but I have faith that those close to Robert Jordan know that he is upto the taks. I wait with baited breath for the conclusion to a sreies that has been part of my life for over ten years.

Robert Jordan’s books are the best i have ever read both ‘The Conan Chronicles 1 & 2′ and ‘The Wheel of Time’ series. I hope Brandon Sanderson can finish ‘The Wheel of Time’ as spectacularly as Robert Jordan began it.

The Wheel of Time series are just awesome and you can tell all the way through that Robert Jordan had an incredibly ending lined up, I just hope that Brandon Sanderson can tie up all the loose ends and produce a concluding book that lives up to the standards set by Robert Jordan

I have only finished the Eleventh Book of the Wheel of Time series today and I am sad to find out only today that Robert Jordan left this world last year. My condolences to his family and friends. I have faith the Brandon Sanderson will be able to fill Robert Jordans shoes and complete the finial book. I look forward to it

I think the wheel of time are the best books ever I was realy sad when he died I glad some one is going to finnish the books. P.S the books coming out in america around fall 09 know idea when in england.

Just read that the 12th book is scheduled for an autumn 2009 release. I am really looking forward to the release of this 12th book but I have my reservations. Can it really be tied up and finished properly in 1 more book? In an interview, RJ said he would do it in 13 books. Can another author finish the series credibly in just 1 more book. The appeal of WoT has always been it’s epic nature, finishing it this way runs the serious risk of having it seem “rushed”…. I really hope it works.

I only started reading the wheel of time books around septemebr 07 but was immediately caught up in them. Without diubt the best series ive read. ive like 100 pages left of the 11th book now.. i was very sad to hear about Robert Jordans death and i hope that Brandon Sanderson can keep the genius and excellence that was present in the past book s alive in the 12th and final book

I have to agree with Batfloke!!! This epic could not be finished in just one more book! There are too many characters split in in many situations for this to end properly.

I am really sorry to hear that Robert Jordan has passed away.I have been waiting for the last three years for the follow on books for The Wheel of Time series.I have read them three times over the same period and have enjoyed them as much each time. Quite how he managed to keep track of his cast of thousands I don’t know,but he was obviously a very gifted man.I look forward to the final sequel and hope it matches the previous epics.

sad to hear of the passing of a truly gifted writer. as a person who has read The Wheel of Time series several times i am also delighted to hear that this great series will be brought to a a conclusion. I’m sure Brandon Sandserson will finish the story in the fashion of Robert Jordan.

Hi David - any good bookstore should be able to supply you with books #10 and #11…
