Ooh, great stuff. Can’t wait to read the whole book.

And while I feel terribly cheeky for asking – is this the final draft? There was a typo in one of the later paragraphs of chapter 1:

“It was what Kip had come for. Usually when a drafter released luxin, it simply dissolved, no matter (missing WHAT) color it was. But in battle, there had (should this be WAS or HAD BEEN) so much chaos, so many drafters, some sealed magic had been buried and protected from the sunlight that would break it down.”

Riveting. I’m hooked already. Brent’s work is simply amazing, and his novels are cleverly and masterfully crafted in a way that is truly unique. I think I’m going to feel a lot like Gavin for the next 4 months while I’m forced to wait for the rest of the chapters. I don’t know why I put myself through this, but I just had to read these three. Once I started I couldn’t stop. It was like that with The Shadows trilogy too. Brent’s writing is simply too good to put down. I have no doubt that this one’s going to be awesome.

Brent Weeks’ work and I have a love-hate relationship in the sense that I love his writings but everytime I see something new about his books I hate having looked at it because it reminds me I still have to wait for the full book to be released. Breathtaking is the only word I can use to describe Brent’s work. His “Night Angel Trilogy” brought my love of reading to me and, from what I’ve read so far, Black Prisim promises to be every bit as spectacular as his original works.
